Twelve teams (with over 100 children) descended upon Harlow Town CC for the annual Year 3 and 4 Cricket Festival. Teams from Latton Green, Church Langley, Tanys Dell, St Lukes, St James, Milwards, Fawbert and Barnard and Katherines enjoyed some lovely weather throughout a very tiring day. The standard of play was better than in previous years, with children really hitting the ball some distance, as well as some outstanding stops and catches.
Year 6 Sports Leaders from Church Langley supported staff members in umpiring the matches; they were fantastic and a real credit to their school and parents.
The twelve teams were split into two groups, playing each other throughout the day. The final results were:
Group 1
Church Langley A (15 points)
Church Langley B (12 points)
Milwards (9 points)
TanysDell (3 points)
Latton Green (3 points)
Church Langley C (3 points)
Group 2:
Fawbert and Barnard (15 points)
Katherines (12 points)
St James A (6 points)
St Lukes A (6 points)
St Lukes B (3 points)
St James B (3 points)
